Lack Of Motivation

Lately I’ve had a major lack of motivation when it comes to doing my websites! I just can’t bring myself to spend any time on them at the moment mainly because they are not making any money yet. It’s pretty demoralizing to work on a site only to see it bringing in zero after months of effort.

The worst part is that this happens to nearly everybody who try to make a bit of extra cash online. Most people give up working online after the initial period goes by of setting it all up and getting stuck into it.

The only way to get through this barrier is to work through it. Giving up is the worst thing you can do.
Now if only I could find the motivation…

Thinking Of Getting A Quad Bike For The Road

I’ve got a 125cc yamaha ybr which I’ll admit is pretty great it give me fantastic miles per gallon (100mpg if I take it easy) and it can get through any gap you like and overtake queues.  There’s just one problem with it… It is so damned slow.  Today in the strong winds I couldn’t get it past 45mph.  I mean 45mph! GOD DAMN!  I need something bigger and a bit faster.  That’s why I intend to swop it for a road legal quad bike.

Why a quad?

To get a bigger motorbike I will need to pass a test which costs anything from £150 to £1000 to take.  Even then, you have no certainty of passing so you might have to retake it.  With a quad all you need is a car license to ride ANY size engine.   You don’t even need a helmet (although I will be wearing one).

I’ve had a quad on the road before which was great fun!  Everybody used to stare at it, kids would point and show their mums and cars and motorbikes would pull up next to me at the lights to ask about it.  It’s like being a celebrity.  The reason I don’t have it any more is because it was a cheap chinese crap thing.  I managed to blow up the engine on that one.

Doing my research it seems the Yamaha raptor is the best for the road.  You can get it up to 700cc but I think I will go for the 350cc version.  It seems to be defeating the point of saving petrol money if I go for the 700.  Hell I may as well just get a car with the amount of petrol that beast would use.

Beware Of Low Flying Aircraft! Duck Please

I was just searching on youtube for some interesting videos and found these low flying aeroplane vids.  They are pretty great, check them out.  You’d think they would get burnt by the fumes or maybe sucked into the engines!

Hill Fest ‘08 review

Last weekend was the date for Hill Fest ‘08.

We met the leader at Pont Abraham at 2.30pm whom we were to follow.  It felt like we were going to head to a secret rave somewhere.  The trouble was that this person was the ONLY one who knew which way to go.  There were 6 cars in total all following her to this secret festival.  At the time I didn’t know who this person was but later found out that she was the lead singer for Triaxis, a very good rock band which played at the festival.

Car park starting to fill

We went through Cross Hands but after that it was a bit of a blur through about 10 miles of country lanes.  When we arrived at the destination we found it was a farm with rather a large sound system set up in the back garden.  A lot of people pitched tents in the garden to sleep over night but I would have to leave early unfortunately.

The car park started to fill and the anticipation started to grow. Read the rest of this entry »

Welsh Game Fair Food

Me and my fiancee have been to the Welsh game fair today which was very good.  There were a lot of things to see which it turned out I liked most of!  It was a bit more blokey than she likes however with there being guns, knives, dogs, motorbikes and other general different ways to kill things.

One interesting part was the Food hall which sold some unusual grub.  I picked up a chocolate orange cake which is pretty orangey in colour, a game pie and some welsh cakes.  The game pie looks the most interesting and apparently contains venison, pigeon, rabbit and juniper berries.  Sounds good!  I’ll be trying that one out later with my tea!
